UL vs LSU Game Time Thread

I mean, I don't understand the thinking of just running the clock out, and THEN throwing the ball after milking all the time left. It was just a bizarre strategy.

#1. He tries to out slug a defensive line on the goal line that outweighs us by over 1000 lbs....4 TIMES!!!

That was honestly one of the most mind boggling things I've ever witnessed.

I know, every one is going to give me hell for saying that, but WHAT!!!!!

AND the most insulting....and biggest example of the fact that he is either tone deaf to his players OR just incompetent....

#3 He performs that absolutely disgusting "last drive" ..... lets the time run off, runs the ball. Doesnt he know we had a good chance to score???? Doesnt he care that we havent scored since Joan Rivers was a virgin?????
Doesnt he care that this is important to us die hard fans???? And most importantly, doesnt he know how much it would have meant to those players...... the ones that REALLY Performed well against a bigger, faster, team. THEY DESERVED A TD, Coach!!!!! Pull your head out!!!! Well, like I said ----I should not be surprised....hes been doing this crap since he was hired.

his team is pretty good....IN SPITE OF BUSTLE....NOT BECAUSE OF HIM ...Last years team proves that.

I agree 500% with you. Our players laid it all out and we have a coach that can't figure a way to score with 1st and goal from the 2 and then that last drive. Do we have a 2 minute offense? Hell we started with almost 5 minutes. Unbelievable. Let's start a drive to buy out his contract. I almost threw something through my TV after watching him on the sidelines with that dumb look on his face while time was running out.

I really, really, really hate to say this but I agree. I have no clue why we run it into the teeth of their defense with a first and goal. I'm not saying something else would have worked, but come up with SOMETHING creative!!!!!!!!!!!!! And what the hell were we doing on the last drive of the game!!!!!??? This and all of the dropped passes makes this one of the most frustrating games I've seen in a while. Not that we would have won, but come on!!!!!!

Looking at these stats you wouldn't think the final would be 31-3. I think our defense played exceptionally well(except for a coupon of misses INT). Our offense played alright and has alot to build on. Those turnovers REALLY killed us.

ANOTHER POSITIVE IS I DON'T THINK THERE WERE MANY INJURIES FOR US.


Lets move on to Nebraska.

I agree. I'm a realist to the extreme and am not upset that we lost but the play calling on the goal line and running out the clock are the last straw for me as far as Bustle is concerned. How can we expect our team to work so hard and have leadership that does them in. I'll shut up because I normally don't let sports get to me, but there's no way we should have lost by more than 14 with proper coaching and play calling. KUDOS to the Cajuns though. They certainly didn't embarrass anyone tonight.
Kudos to LSU too. They did what they had to and the Washington win looks pretty good now that the Huskies beat USC today.
