I hope this is sarcasm. In no world will either program be shut down for years. That goes regardless of the record.

Probably should and redirect the savings to football and/or Spring sports.

Besides the record, "free" WBB is not a good look

NET rankings are out. UL isn’t last in the SBC.

Would be nice if scholarship limits were cumulative, let schools put the players wherever they want.

Found this nugget how hard the future will be.

There were 378 matchups this November between high-majors and non-Gonzaga teams from other conferences. The little guy won only 22 of them, according to research by Yahoo Sports.

When the big schools figure how to take a bigger cut it’s over, much like football is headed to.

Figure WBB will be after MBB.

Bilal and Elkington may be out for the season from what I am hearing. Bilal could have been the backup point guard and Elkington would have probably been a starter as he is a big who can shoot. Cook would have helped on the glass and defensively.

None of that is an excuse for the product on the court now. It must improve quickly to be ready for conference play. Last night, with the game on the line, we were trying to get a walk on open for a game tying shot. That shows that the other guys need to step up their effort and execution.
Mike, I noticed where you said here Elkington could have been a potential starter as a big who could shoot. I went back and looked at his stats at Tech last year and saw he was 17-51 for 33% from 3. Ratliff put up very similar numbers last year at 16-44 for 36%, but hasn’t attempted a 3 thus far this year. Any thoughts on why Ratliff isn’t getting some outside looks in this offense?

Couple of things. First, we are shooting 27% as a team which is horrible. I think coach starting trying to work from inside out to get some shots there. Second, this offense is based off of Houston offense of trying to generate some matchup advantages up top and work from that. Having said that, I agree Ratliff wouldn't be a much worse option than what we've been seeing I guess.
