Tulane University men’s basketball will look to start 3-0 for the fourth consecutive season as it hits the road for the first time to take on Louisiana in the Cajundome Tuesday night. The Green Wave has started each of the past three seasons and five of its six seasons under Head Coach Ron Hunter with a 3-0 record.

I read the preview, saw "Louisiana" and thought there was no way. Yeah, there was no way.

Look for Tulane to run a lot of sets, a lot of screen the screener for open looks. That gave us a few problems late in the SLU game. We went cold for a little while and SLU executed late. Ron Hunter is a excellent offensive coach. Not sure if he still runs the crazy amoeba 2-3 defense like he did at GA STATE.

I never undrstand how a team can be bad at freethrows, its the only shot that is the same every time and really has every thing to do with practice, form and muscle memory. It is good to see the defense covering the boards but shooting looks off

Basketball is almost unwatchable. Little difference in Marlin. Defense fouls way too much. Offense has no movement, just stand around and force shots. I was hoping Coach Q would bring a better brand of basketball. So far, not impressed. Season just ghettoing underway, so still hopeful. But, damn ...

So far I've seen a team giving alot of effort to play smothering D but we're not going to get Big 12 calls.. especially in the first two games

We're clearly trying to offset a lack of offensive talent with extreme defensive effort. Not a bad idea..

You would think as long as he has been with Kelvin Sampson as both player and coach he would run the same stuff he runs.
