Thread: Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium gives Cajuns and community a showpiece to rally around

  1. UL Football Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium gives Cajuns and community a showpiece to rally around

Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns’ football opened its season this year in a newly renovated stadium that gives the team and the community something to be proud of. The $65 million renovation of Cajun Field, now renamed Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium, has been a long time coming. It’s the first significant makeover of the stadium since it opened in 1971, and the goal was to give fans a better experience as they cheer on the home team.

what would you have wanted, One Quarter of a stadium? If my research is correct, the renovated west side seats abut 30,000, so in essence it may be 3/4's of a stadium . . . beat this up if any of these facts and observations are incorrect

finally, it should be considered to be fantastic as it is by all fans . . .

The entire stadium went from 41,000 to just over 30,000. Not just the West side.

I agree, fully half "finished" beats unfinished across the board.

It has been really great the first two home games. Can't wait to get back at it Saturday vs. Marshall.
