    I don't think that's physically possible.

I don't disagree with this, but Liberty is a private school, right? So, we add another private school with similar budgets as JMU and Old Dominion. All of them simply have more private funds including student fees to support them. None of them are similar to the other Southern Institutions. Liberty has been looking to move up for a decade and they are mainly turned down because of their religious background.

I'm just saying, those are things to consider.

There isn’t a single original member in the east…they could never take the name..they could each pay the $10 million exit fee though..bye

I don't think they can just kick out the 6 western schools.

Neither JMU nor ODU are private universities. They are both public universities in Virginia.

They can't, they have to have a majority of votes to move any member out. They would lose all their bowl alliances. These are stupid fans that don't read contracts and think their programs are in the best in the conference.

We need to either Add Liberty and split the Georgia schools(we would get Georgia State in the west) or do nothing and wait for the next shuffle.

No other option is worth considering anymore.

Got it, but both have large amounts of Student Fees as does George Mason. Both JMU and Old Dominion had an increase in E&G Fees of 3.3% last year on top of that.

I had heard or read somewhere that Virginia passed a law where by a certain year, JMU would either have to reduce their student fee for athletics ($2k a semester?) or drum up a lot more private donations and actual athletic revenues, because the bill put a cap on the percentage of athletic budget that can come from student fees.

But can’t remember if where I heard or read it from was legit and accurate.

I meant JMU, but voice to text changed it to GMU. JMU and ODU are both public institutions. But you are correct. on the student fees. If Liberty were to be added they would be the only private university in the SBC.
