The Robe folks are starting to age out, just like MBB did.

Haven’t read the thread. Are we still in denial about the fact the Sun Belt will add LaTech after Texas State leaves?

I dont know if it is going to be that simple.

They need 75 percent vote, meaning 10 of the 13 teams must vote in favor. Are they a betting favorite? Possibly. But getting 10 presidents on board is a tall task.

Meanwhile, Texas State (and the PAC-12) is getting absolutely ROASTED on social media.

Southern Miss and Marshall will be a hard no. Will be a serious uphill climb to get in.

For what? The PAC just incorporated the MWC and picked up T-state, which brought them from 2 teams to the required number of teams to be a full-blown conference again. BTW, they also got Boise, which will make them viable again.

Would not be surprised if Southern Miss is a yes. It makes a lot of financial sense for them (and the other teams in the west).

The PAC is going to be the top non power conference for all schools west of the Mississippi. They are going to have an Eastern Division one day. That was a big part of Texas State's caluculus to moving, and should be ours too.

The PAC may be getting roasted; but PAC men's basketball next year will be no joke. NET numbers are from last year:

    Gonzaga [8]
    Utah State [37]
    Boise State [44]
    Colorado State [47]
    San Diego State [52]
    Oregon State [85]
    Washington State [112]
    Texas State [198]
    Fresno State [278]

2/3 of the conference in the Top 100 NET.... 4/9 in the Top 50 NET...

Tell me again how much better off we are in the SBC.... I have said it before and I will continue saying it; the worst decision ever made by UL is not pushing hard to get in this conference. The difference in basketball revenue [ticket sales plus NCAA Tournament Units] would more than offset any increase in travel costs.

    I'm convinced.
