I believe what he is saying is the amount of post and views on one particular thread shows that folks what to know about offseasons moves in regards to the team. He is correct that folks in the athletic department and administration view this site daily.

I usually pick softball over baseball in the spring, but if this off-season plays out like it started, I can drop the softball tickets.
I'm 80% out the door. If I get to 100% I can promise you and others UL will never see me and my family return.

Is this because the softball staff hasn’t made a coaching hire within your preferred timeline? And had one mediocre season after 25 years of being nationally relevant?

Seems harsh, but to each his own

No that's not why. I'm losing interest in all college sports that we have season tickets in. The UL administration doesn't care so why should we as fans care? The way college athletics is now is just a big turn off for me.

Most people take jobs at schools to get summers off, so i wouldnt expect much work over the summer to occur

"The way college athletics is now is just a big turn off for me."

What you said last is the exact way I'm feeling. I'm so upset how NIL and the transfer portal, and now colleges can pay athletes also. Now I'm not naive to think that student athletes weren't getting paid under the table to attend the universities, but the majority of the student athletes were given a full scholarship, and they were extremely happy with this.

But in today's society, it's all about "me" and "what's in it for me" and "how much are you going to pay me?".... These kids could care less about the college education. Saw a stat the other day that when a student transfers colleges, they lose 43% of their credits. Let that sink in for just a minute. So graduating was never on their "todo" list. Just how much $$$ am I going to get.

I have been a Cajun fan since I could walk. But times have changed in college sports and like JMV JustMyView has stated, I'm losing interest in all college sports. NIL has totally ruined the college sports world. Championships are not about who is the best this year, but who can spend the most to field a team. Return on investment. I always thought that was professional sports, college was for the love of the game.

I would imagine NIL affects the way some athletes play also. Can you imagine playing on a team knowing your left tackle is getting paid 1 million a game and you are on the team playing left guard on a full paid scholarship and a meal stipend, yet you are the one making the left side work, covering not only your blocking assignments but his also? Can you think of the resentment this would bring. You can bet this is happening across college sports.

Sorry for the long post, but yes, I'm losing interest in college sports like so many more. Hope the P4's are happy with themselves. They will eventually get what they deserve.

I'm still hanging on thinking this will all change when NCAA realizes the huge mistakes they have made.

Correct nobody is building a roster anymore its all bought. The NCAA can eliminate the term student-athlete.

I agree with everything y’all are saying but it won’t stop me from supporting my team. Maybe I’m a little anti-bandwagonish(I just made up that word).

At some point, you have to see the admin is working their asses off to be the best (at least in your own conference). When you don't see that happening, when you see the complete lack of transparency and give a ____.....you stop supporting it. Your time, energy and money are no longer worth it.
