Not to be a wet blanket, but do we really think Glasco just thought of this at TT? DonÂ’t be naive, we were getting players and transfers that had us jumping for joy. If you believe GG was doing all this above board here and suddenly went to the dark side the minute he left Â… well I have oceanfront property in Nevada to sell you.

"but there aren’t rules in place to prevent a third party from approaching those players", so is it no longer illegal for boosters and alumni to recruit, or is this only if you have an NIL proposal, and does it apply to HS recruits

Anyone involved with a university (booster/NIL collective) is not allowed to contact players while on other rosters. It's done all the time but nobody comes out publicly and says it until now. This may come back to haunt Texas Tech.

Texas won the World Series. Going into the World Series, Texas A&M was ranked number one. However, despite the millions of dollars those two universities have, Texas Tech is out spending them when it comes to paying softball players. I'd really like to know how the coaches and athletic director at those two schools feel about what is happening.

Who is now allowed to recruit HS? Can alumni and boosters?

TAMU ranked #1 preseason in baseball. Didn't make the tournament.

Who knows if anyone from the deep pocket boosters to the casual fans that donate will keep seeing the lack of ROI and scale back. With TTU softball, they saw it work so you can imagine their donations will only increase. However, there are only so many teams that can have success. Only a few National Championships to go around per year. There are more losers than winners.

Donors start to question more. Fans start to question more. ADs get asked questions. Coaches get questioned. Seats get hotter quicker. Even players now that many can't hide behind the amateurism veil. With all this $ being thrown around, the direction is not promising for college athletics.

Coaches during the times allowed, same as it's always been.
