Here's what Glasco is thinking. Buy me a second pitcher.
Thankfully softball season is done. We know why TT made it that far. No love lost from a lot of us.
Lane mad! Or happy.
What Glasco did was sleazy. Making that run only highlighted what’s wrong with college sports in 2025. Ransacking a proud program (taking players and coaches) and getting a university/donors to pony up over a million to buy players and turn an irrelevant team into something. Sadly, that’s allowed.
He’s not the first or the last to do it, though. He just got the farthest. Remember, JMU’s football coach left, took 9 or so players with him to IU and took a bottom feeder to the CFP in year 1. Difference is, the Dukes had an offseason to repair and they ended up okay.
Glasco left and pillaged UL at a time where there was no hope to bring in replacements. With respect, we had to plug in Southland players.
Glasco is a good coach. A great recruiter. TTU was a great team. And doing it in a sleazy way doesn’t matter to him or their fan base/donors.
Napier leaving and taking key players and more and more staff as he realized how bad a state UF was in was our first experience with this. (Took him a few years to win, too.) As much as it sucked, we recovered. Trust Aly to do the same.
Everyone knows what TTU was. Does it matter? No. It won’t. It goes in the record book. But it’ll always have an asterisk when Cajun fans read it.
So the milkion dollar question is, was all of this Glasco's idea, and he was trying to find a school to do it, or did TTech have the idea and had to find a coach to do it? (Including the players from old school).
