    Numa was MIA for a while before he was confirmed killed.

    I've seen the envelope that contained the telegram that was used to deliver the news to the family. It had the cabdriver's scribblings of directions from the telegraph office downtown Lafayette to my Great Grandfather's farm in Carencro.

    It sad we didn't get the chance to know them. Imagine the lessons they could have taught us.
