UL needs a complete identity change. the coaching of players IQ has been bad for very long time. The guys give great effort, but thats not enough to win consistently alone.

I don't think Hosanna will be on another college team next season. Now he may be playing professionally overseas. As far as the last shot in regulation goes, Coach Z did say they were just trying to get an open look whomever it may be. Hardy got a clean look on a pass from Garnett. He just missed it badly. I would have preferred Kentrell take a step back 3. Coach also said that he needs to do a better job of putting his team in postion to make a winning play. I wonder if he now wishes he would have had a different lineup in there. Personally, I would have preferred Fields and White be on the floor at that time. They are better perimeter shooters than Hardy.

I was there. The guys played hard, but the overall lack of D1 talent is obvious. If we stacked up each year’s roster, based on talent, from 1970 to today, this year’s team would be somewhere in the 50s.

55 years, less the years when UL had no team. Narrows down the candidates for in the 50s to the first team after the death penalty, Robert Lee era teams and this year’s.

The Lee teams are the only ones in my lifetime in the same realm as this one. Those teams have an ace in the hole with Tyren Johnson though. I don’t know if there is anyone on the current team with half that talent.
