Coach was not fired weeks ago. After the regionals, the AD was silent on his status. He was fired just yesterday.

The conversation between him and the AD occurred at some point after the season, likely right after the regional, where it was made clear they were mutually parting ways (Hr talk for you’re fired). That was directly from their statements.

If you think all pertinent decisions were made yesterday or even the day before, you’re an idiot. They knew Pierce was out of weeks and it probably took at minimum a week to close the Schloss deal. Which is the point of my post.

They met over a week ago and mutually decided to part ways. Info was “leaked” yesterday.

And Schloss had already agreed to take the job prior to the CWS finals.

This. Texas had malice with the timing. They didn’t want A&M to win a natty. Think about being Schloss knowing you’re leaving and having the rumors come out when they did. I’d be ____ed. My future employer potentially created such a distraction that it cost me a natty.

My aTm buddies are saying Deggs is their guy. Schloss is a miserable human being by all accounts. This was the consensus before this happened from people who know him.

If aTm wants Deggs they will have him. I doubt they will.
