This is easy, much like MAT was saying. If we promoted $1 GA tickets for the visitors side and UD, with free parking in the grassy area in CF, we would easily have 25K tonight. This promo would have to be well in advance, but it’s easily worth it.
Ok, I'll ask....did you work with a vendor to geo-fence the campus, the union, and the parking lot at CF to reach really anyone who enters the geo area and serve digital display ads for the game and I guess the half-day? If not, then you and the people you work with are completely incompetant because that's how its done nowdays. Buy your gross impressions, set up the geo-fence, and start serving digital display ads....
If the strategy is to wait until the CF renovation begins or is over to try and bolster attendance, I hope that wait-and-see approach is shared with our football team. I don't know about anyone else, but my frustration with attendance is primarily because I feel for the members of our football team. The amount of work they put in should be rewarded with a minimum of 20k butts in the seat every game.
All this week, I've asked my customers (about 25 or so) and people throughout my day (maybe 20-30) People from every age group and walks of life...."hey you guys going to the big game Thursday?" Swear to you, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM, save 1, who is a poster on this board, said, "what game?" I'd bet that
80% + in Lafayette parish, don't even know there's a game tonight. It's fkn pathetic.
