hear me out, and it may be a long shot, but what about, maybe, just "LOUISIANA" and we put it on our jerseys and our endzones, and basketball courts, and walls in all of our facilities, and when we play on TV they will use it for the score graphic. maybe that would work?

Okay but we need a symbol also. Like high major colleges like Oklahoma, Florida, Tennessee etc.. we need something that we can put on jerseys, hats, polos, shirts. Writing out Louisiana isn’t good enough let’s follow the big boys .

If we won't use the interlocking UL, simply using an L might be the way to go.

Nearly half of all FBS schools have 1 or 2 letters on their helmets as their primary symbol. Many share the same letter. You just have to make that letter yours with styling.

For us, if their is such a thing as a French L, that would be it, or we can mimic the "double line" format of the pants and the jersys with a "double line" L. Or, use the same font for the L that is used in the C of the script Cajuns.

Understand one thing people. The real reason we don't have a good symbol like this is our university's obsession with Ragin Cajuns. The branding hierarchy should be flipped.

That would be perfectly fine. Put the university seal FDL on the helmets and on TV tickers. It would work fantastic.
