LSU can't harm Louisiana without diluting their own brand.

I don't understand LSU's "L" logo. They have one of the most recognizable college brands in the world. You take that "L" logo visor and wear it anywhere outside of Tiger Stadium and no one knows what you're wearing.

Same reason I'm not really interested in our university adopting an "L" logo at this moment.

An old musical group named Smashmouth mentioned it in a song once, one of those songs they might call a one hit wonder or a terrible tune tuesday... here is the pertinent lyric

I will call BS, they know what they are doing they are playing the same game that Ohio State is doing. They are not diluting there brand they are trying to enhance it by establishing them as the University of Louisiana. I almost don’t want to post this because it will be used against us!!


We sit here like a bunch of dumba&&. We are playing checkers they are playing chess. Let’s keep on the Ragin Cajun train while LSU establishes themselves as Thee University of Louisiana.

I didn't say or mean that they couldn't establish L as their own.

They can't establish L without diluting LSU. There is only so much mind share to go around.

They can do both but their exposure time won't change so splitting the baby in half won't give them a whole.
