In fact, only three games
break the top 20 (NMSU @ 19, Denver @ 13, WKU @ 8) for attendance come from this century. I just keep these two documents in my file when people “misremember” every year or so.
The dome has never sold out for UL MBB. It was built to draw concerts that BR had the market cornered on more than a basketball arena. A 7k arena would be dead to the major concert market, much like the Lake Charles Civic Center.
I think this question is in reference to Assistant Coach Donovan Kates resigning to take a job closer to family. I believed that happened in May.
The reassignment which occurred last year was to move Neil Hardin to the Scouting Director role. He took the lead on reviewing upcoming opponents tendencies while mentoring the new coaches for that skill. In effect, Kates replaced Brock Morris and Casey Perrin replaced Coach Hardin as one of the three allowed assistants. At this point, Kates has not been replaced. Our website shows only two assistants (Derrick Zimmerman and Casey Perrin). It continues to show Coach Hardin as Director of Scouting. In practical terms, I am sure Coach Hardin will serve as the third assistant going forward despite his website title. All other support staff members return. There are some new managers of course as those are students who graduate.
