So, with Student Fees perhaps their Athletic Foundations don't have to raise as much money for such perks.

Just like in this country there is a line where people give up and quit putting in, the administration has to be careful of where that line is. They will never have enough money, will always need more. They can’t keep going to the same well, it’s drying up quickly. They need to figure out how to get more wells in the stands, it starts with the students.

    Exactly!

Nothing at time to entice the general populace to get on board and enjoy the ride.

So we lower prices and get the Feds to also hand out subsidies to encourage more people to buy football tickets.

    Problem solved!

And I’m not saying C4L is completely wrong in questioning why we are so high for some things vs our better revenue peers (like App St), but applying what happened with Tesla sales is a ____ poor comparison.
Tesla lowered their prices multiple times last year, world-wide.

Not saying the subsidies didn't help, but if it were the subsidies alone, every EV Mfg should have had record profits, but only the price lowerer did.

Record profits maybe for them but far less than profits of most "regular" car companies.

Is it possible at some of these schools the student recreation center (aka bourgeois hall) falls under athletics. Ergo the student fee goes to athletics but is really for that, we pay for that as well but it is not under athletics. Move it and then maybe find cost cutting measures for bourgeois and that is "free money" for athletics????

"Potential" is something you do not have in hand, and it can be squandered
