If you’re looking for a Louisiana setting for a movie, try Angel Heart.
Mickey Rourke, Lisa Bonet and De Niro. It’s VERY on point with NOLA voodoo stuff.
Heck of an ending.

I don't know if it will be any good but '57 Seconds' with Morgan Freeman and Josh Hutcherson is set to release in September of this year. It was filmed almost exclusively in Lafayette.
Greatest Louisiana movies:
1) Easy Rider with Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper & Jack Nicholson
2) The Apostle with Robert Duval, as great as Duval's career has been, this may have been his best work of all.
3) Dejavu with Denzel Washington & Halle Berry was a fantastic movie about the Algiers ferry.
And speaking of Robert Duval, I can't believe I forgot about Lonesome Dove as an all time epic mini series.
Good call on Easy Rider.
Not a movie, but you guys gotta check out The Righteous Gemstones on HBOMAX. John Goodman, Danny McBride (eastbound and down), Adam Devine (workaholics). They are a family that runs a mega-church, but they def aren't "church" material. This series is hilarious! Season 3 starts on June 18th. Gotta check it out.
all of these movies and then this

That’s what Campbell gets for leaving and not coming to Louisiana . . .
