Not many college teams do that.

Our very own program did these things very well and often prior to ~2017
You have a good point. There is a difference between "That's baseball" and tactical miscues.
Since I've started watching, Cajun teams were built around pitching, then defense. Pitching seems like an after thought lately.
We have moved from a program with 3 or 4 solid starters year in, year out, to a team of middle relievers taking turns starting.
Nezuh has one pitch and is a starter somehow. That might work playing JMU. So Miss and Coastal will eat that ____ up.
JMU has better pitching than we do. Let that marinate for a while. They almost dominated us for 9 innings friday and they totally dominated us yesterday. How is that possible. I remember the statement at the start of the season that we have a much deeper staff but might lack a starter type of arm. I dont mind if we have to piece it together in order to win…if we win. But, we over halfway into this and still have no clue what we need to do. Ill say it till im blue in the face, when this program has been good in the past, we developed freshman arms. The blueprint was given to this staff. Yes we have gone the juco route to fill specific roles, sometime its worked out very well, others it hasnt. Thats the gamble with juco guys. When it comes to pitching you have to recruit pitchers, not athletic football players that pitch. We have not hit on many Connor Cook’s recently.
