Pitchers came here because of the success of the guys before them. The development of pitchers was easy to see and explained by players and coaches before they got here.
Older guys helped younger guys in the bullpen with grips, arm slots and Robe handled the mental game. Guys like Sammy Tauli were the unsung heros.
It's hard to tell if recent arrivals could be developed, but we have certainly flopped on a few who were supposed to be can't miss sure lock guys.
After a little while there is nobody to mentor new guys.
Well in order to mentor you have to have 1- a system 2- u have to have success in that system in order to mentor it. So it would be slim pickings
