Question to all of the one's bithching about this, have you ever spoken to a recruit to even have any idea what recruits thoughts are about UL? I’m confused as to what you are getting at? In no way am I upset with the kids making decisions on their future. I’m concerned about the direction of our fan base and program. Did you not read my previous post?

This is a fan message board. Where things like this are discussed.

It is also a marketing or anti-marketing tool for potential recruits and their parents.

When you write a post next time, think about reading it in the eyes of a recruit or recruit’s parents before you press post.

A recruiter that gets kids to campus and someone that can coach a kid up is two different coaches. I guess you also forgot to read my second sentence? It is weird that you bypassed a whole sentence.

Oh, Ok so now we're gonna get into a semantics battle now. I guess there's no context to what you were saying but rather, just the words specifically as written? Ok, so when we're recruiting say a QB, do we send our DC to his house to recruit him? No, we send the OC, QB's coach etc.. In fact, those guys who recruit certain positions ARE the coaches that will be "Coaching them up". I didn't bypass anything, you just forget to use context.

Plus it is a bit of an oxymoron when you are one minute suggesting that Des needs to be fired on the spot when he returns home to now trusting him to do anything really.

Thank you…the big picture. We’ve quickly given up our position in the instate pecking order AND keeping the brand relevant. We can blame whatever/whoever we want…Napier, money, hiring search, etc. it all comes down to UL did not maintain some semblance of dominance against the crappiest SOS opponents laid before us. The staff must deliver this off season and bounce back next season, or we’ll just be right back to long term irrelevance. Or bluntly put, we’re not in a position to have a “you don’t understand, it’s a learning curve” situation.

UL needs to take care of its own backyard.

Maybe prior to start of the we had the easiest FBS schedule. But since the season started the degree of difficulty is through the roof good ignoring their UL win or loss.

No doubt CMD isn’t doing nearly as well as hoped for. But to be honest and fair we don’t now how good or bad he is as a head coach from this year’s record. With the new NIL and transfer portal it’s a new game.

Finally virtually every player currently on the team are CBN recruits. If due to injury, or transfer this isn’t the team Maggard was pushing the day CMD was hired.

Did you or did you not start a thread calling for Des to be fired? Did you or did you not just say you have faith in Des? I’m not twisting anything. When you call for a guy to be fired it’s either all or nothing. YOU are the one that’s crawfishing

Running a program and being a good recruiter is two difference things. You need to take a reading comprehension 101 course. After you take it, then take it again because it never registers with you the first time.

Running a program, recruiting a kid, and coaching a kid up is three difference things. Who do we have on staff that is good at all three?
