Oh, Ok so now we're gonna get into a semantics battle now. I guess there's no context to what you were saying but rather, just the words specifically as written? Ok, so when we're recruiting say a QB, do we send our DC to his house to recruit him? No, we send the OC, QB's coach etc.. In fact, those guys who recruit certain positions ARE the coaches that will be "Coaching them up". I didn't bypass anything, you just forget to use context.

Plus it is a bit of an oxymoron when you are one minute suggesting that Des needs to be fired on the spot when he returns home to now trusting him to do anything really.

The staff must deliver this off season and bounce back next season, or we’ll just be right back to long term irrelevance. Or bluntly put, we’re not in a position to have a “you don’t understand, it’s a learning curve” situation.

UL needs to take care of its own backyard.
Maybe prior to start of the we had the easiest FBS schedule. But since the season started the degree of difficulty is through the roof good ignoring their UL win or loss.

No doubt CMD isn’t doing nearly as well as hoped for. But to be honest and fair we don’t now how good or bad he is as a head coach from this year’s record. With the new NIL and transfer portal it’s a new game.

Finally virtually every player currently on the team are CBN recruits. If due to injury, or transfer this isn’t the team Maggard was pushing the day CMD was hired.

Running a program and being a good recruiter is two difference things. You need to take a reading comprehension 101 course. After you take it, then take it again because it never registers with you the first time.

Running a program, recruiting a kid, and coaching a kid up is three difference things. Who do we have on staff that is good at all three?

Right. Fire coach Des but let him stay on staff for recruiting kids. Got it.

He is going to stay on staff for a while regardless of what anyone says. Fact
He is a good recruiter. Fact
Nobody said IF he is fired he needs to remain as a recruiter. Fact

    Got it?

I’m sure being a part of a winner is important to many kids in their recruitment.

The same coaches that were here doing it last season.

Let me ask you this JMV, will you have the same standard for Coach Glasco in year 5? I mean hasn't he recruited a #1 ranked class and #12 ranked class in recent years? Should the measure of success for him be the College Softball WS? I'm just asking, because I've read yearly about these top recruits, but what is the expectation for him?

Let's not kid our self. The coaches that are here last year are not all the same coaches that are currently here. You would have to ask him what his expectations are and what Maggard are of Glasco. For the record Glasco has more championships than all the other UL coaches combined. I have already posted my standards for the softball program in other threads.

When you write a post next time, think about reading it in the eyes of a recruit or recruit’s parents before you press post.

Are you a recruiter or anti-recruiter for your university?
Oh the irony of you posting this.

So Desormeaux, Leger, Bergeron, Norrid, Giuliani, Scott and Buris weren't here last year? Same evaluation system and the recruiting board was put together then as well, and has been adjusted as the season plays out.

Let's try this again, if Maggard standard's matter in terms of Softball, didn't he make the hire for the HC of the football program as well?

I didn't participate in the thread you mentioned, so for the sake of discussion in this thread where you have posted your opinion, what is your standard for Coach Glasco this upcoming season?
