I just dont like being told how strapped we are for money but charter flights for a 3-4 hour drive. Especially considering we have to travel 1.5 hours tomorrow before game.

Guess thats just my opinion.

it would be longer than 3-4 hours, its 2.5-3 hours from Bay St Louis to Lafayette depending on traffic and its a 1.5 hour drive from Bay St Louis to Hattiesburg. even though the bus would turn off a little earlier than the Bay it still would be closer to 4-5 hr drive and its always a crap shoot going through Baton Rouge during the week which could add up to an hour to the trip and of course this is assuming no accident on the Basin Bridge which can be a nightmare, so I can't fault the team for flying for this one

Wow...wonder why they couldn't just take a bus??? Only 3-1/2 hours to Hattiesburg.

If the game were on a Saturday, they would be taking buses. Because the game is on Thursday, the administration wants them back sooner for classes on Friday morning.

Might save 30 minutes by the time you drive down to Gulfport, board the plane, fly to Lafayette, taxi, deplane, board buses to campus, and drive to campus. MAYBE 30 minutes, MAYBE. Still makes no sense.

Now, flying into Hattiesburg would make sense.

Probably had something to do with hotel and meeting rooms, not sure if Hatiesburg has anything large enough....The airport, that's between Laurel and HBurg is not good...
