Thread: University's Top Priority.....

This is where my loyalty to this school could end.

If there is any university in the region that is proudly anti-woke and pro-American, my kids and my money will go there.

I don't care if that is McNeese or lsubr, some things are deal breakers, and this is.

Diversity is great, but it is this same diversity that is the cause of the lack of student involvement at the UL football and basketball games. These diversified students could care less about the athletics at UL. Maybe if it was soccer (or futbol), they would participate more, but American sports is a bore to them.

So it may be great that we just had one of the largest freshman class in school history, but if we can't these students to be a part of the entire school experience, ie football and basketball, then we will continue to have mediocre attendance. It all starts with the students that will roll over to alumni attending.

I believe it to be a direct correlation.

Let me say it like this: if you are letting this nothing of a story work you in to a tizzy, remember that the next time you are about to call someone else a snowflake.

    Yeah, this x100.

I got way bigger things to worry about.

Like Burton starting a center, Washington getting more touches, and only one quarterback playing tonight.

If you're secure with you, you'll be fine. I have confidence in y'all as people. Y'all should too.

We may be one of the more woke campuses in LA. My son goes to UL, when he went to orientation, it was from 7:30 to 5 on a Saturday. Most of it was lectures on diversity, equality and LGBTQ. Never even got a campus tour. Had to have a friend go back the next day to show him where his classes were.
Fast forward a year, he gets an invite to join the National Honor Society. Must attend 6 meetings. First one was a lecture on diversity. Second one a lecture on LGBTQ and inclusion. Third one they were told that white men should never be in charge of anything again.
What the hell does this have to do with honor society??

He hates UL and will probably never set foot on campus again once he graduates and I know he's not the only one who thinks like this.
I'm not against any race, gender, etc. Just be happy with yourself and move on, stop with the damn agendas!!
Makes me sad that this is the same school I attended.

I didn't mean to step on anybody's toes with this post, just wanted to share some things going on for those that don't have kids at school yet or anymore.
This is just some examples of what is going on today at schools all over. Combine that with the way I hear students are treated at games and we are chasing off a whole generation of fans!!

    Geaux Cajuns!!!

    This is sickening, if true.

17,000 people watched Brian Mitchell play his last game at Cajun Field.

Apathy has been an issue for a while.

This is true. And very sad. People who did not watch the Napier era missed out on the best football played at this university to date.

I used to think if we brought the big schools in and beat them here that would bring the crowds in. Well maybe for a game, but not even this would last. In two weeks, even if we were to continue to win, the attendance would be back to 15K. Just no clue anymore.

    More money from Washington.

    https://www.katc.com/news/lafayette-...n-hall-meeting

They’re having Deloitte handle the grant for a cool 2.9 million.

    Election next year.

Federal money can’t be used to resolve judgements, so this could be real interesting.
