Coach Cook loved Johnson's visits to recruits at ND. Singned 2 one year. He was extremely impressed.....thought he was a great communicator.

Louis Cook told me when Jay Johnson was here that he is one of the most intelligent offensive minds he has ever met. Fans forget what our offense looked like under him when Gauthier and Broadway were healthy, Hudspeth's interference and disagreements are what drove him out of this program.

I don't remember the timeline, but was Jay Johnson part of the ACT scandal under Hud? If so, Maggard may not touch him. I don't want to tarnish the guys name, I just don't remember. If he was gone by then, great, give him a shot if he wants it!!
