......I am just wondering why we are suppose to be so good.......is it coaching? Have we brought in some great players? And it is not only this board but also our conference foes that think we will be so good....Can’t believe I had to miss the W/E games, but talked to the Tulane !st baseman and said I would see him Tuesday.....I also mentioned the great jester with wearing * 36 this Fall in the game!

Absolutely. These guys need to just get back to playing baseball. They are good at it. It gets harder when everyone is trying to be a hero because of the circumstances. I just want to see them play hard and have fun. Wins will come with that.

Defense looked great too. Windham had a little oopsie early. Otherwise Hayden was Hayden and Dupuis looked electric at 2nd.

FWIW, I think people went into the game feeling like it was a fairy tale and we'd have some miraculous game in robes honor, I even felt like we would come back and win to the last out. That said, if robe taught us anything in his years here, it's that life rarely goes the way you want. It's not about how you fall down, its about how you get back up that will determine who you are.

Still, lots of positives I saw last night, I have a feeling this will be a much better offensive team when all is said and done. Biggest difference was seeing the offensive approach change. man on first, no out in the 9th down 1, and batter was allowed to swing away instead of wasting an out getting the runner to second. The heart and attitude is still there, the approach is just different.

In other word you can produce accolades after accolades when we win but keep your mouth shut when we lose.

Very well said. I’ve felt for a while that all of the.....very understandable....emotions would play a big factor for us this first game. There was lots of good stuff from us last night so we just need to focus on that and keep grinding on.

That's an incorrect characterization of my post. Do what you want, Frenchie. I’m not stopping anyone from being wrong.

On that misplay by Windham it looked like the pitcher should have fielded that, would have
been a tough play for the 3b to make.

It's back now, I'm sure it was prlly just an issue getting the feed to stream properly. been doing more live sports lately, the stuff they have to do in the truck to get it back can be a pain if even 1 thing goes wrong. having a great truck engineer is worth its weight in gold.
