We will probably win some games we aren’t supposed to at home and get blown out quite a bit on the road. Until the consistency gets there, that’s the reality for this team. I’d be very surprised if we ended up above .500 at the end of the season.

Unfortunately, after seeing this team a lot this year, I think we'll be lucky to be at .500

Per Warren Nolan our current RPI is 281, NET is192, SOS is 335.

Our best win is over RPI 217 Youngstown. Worst loss is to RPI 213 Wyoming.

SLU is RPI 341.

FWIW Nolan projects us to have a 10-21 record, 5-15 in conference play.

He also projects us to have 0 wins in quadrants 1, 2 and 3.

I expect his projection is somewhat pessimistic. I think we will be about 9-11 in conference and 15-16 overall.

So to sugarcoat this punchbowl floater, we might have this figured out come tournament time! Let’s be positive!!!

Maybe we're playing too tough a schedule. Maybe lay off playing the big boys until our program gains some momentum.

For those that are going to the game tonight. Please take a moment and remember the cotton candy guy, Patrick Sampy. Not the crazy white man that was trying to stab people a few years ago. But the nice quite black gentleman that work all the games. Patrick lost his battle with cancer yesterday. He was climbing them Cajundome steps to the very end. RIP Patrick you was a good guy.

I agree, I had mentioned this back when Dou was really struggling that I thought he would be better playing alongside Smith. I think Smith can really be an X factor for this team. He only played 10 minutes last night and had 11 points and 7 boards. I know he was behind on conditioning due to his medical issues but I’m afraid he may be limited in minutes all season due to those issues as well. Last night he was in and out of the game frequently playing only short spurts which makes it hard to establish a rhythm for both him and his teammates.

Didnt realize he played that little. Felt like he was out there for twice as long. He definitely made a huge impact on the game
