Not arguing the content of the book. Just don't understand when the university has the opportunity for publicity, especially with a former player, why the UL Lafayette reference? Of course, all of our former players in the pros still call us Louisiana-Lafayette, so why am I surprised?

Makes me wonder sometimes. Every admin should take a refresher course in marketing. The administration is probably the only contact pro players have with UL and that is where they pick up their vocabulary.

ps Even with his poor UL vocabulary I remember when Starks was a joy to watch.

UL Basketball New Men's Assistant BB coach

I heard last night that Byron Starks is expected to be named as a new assistant men's basketball coach.

    Best of luck to Byron.

This is great news. Starks gave us some GREAT years at UL and I hope we can return the favor and show our support for him as he joins this coaching staff.

I love this hire. Starks was one of my favorites. He should be a great role model for our young team.
