I’m telling y’all, if we are in the top third of the Sun Belt in defense we will win 9 games.
Well we will be underdogs in five of our first seven. We'll see.
Levi couldn’t beat out Nunez, who was below average sun belt QB. What makes you think that all changed in one summer? Levi is not the answer. Using the excuse that we will be underdogs in 5 of first 7 games is you already hedging your bets on Levi. If we had an established QB, we wouldn’t be underdogs in those games.
Haha. We have had a handful of good defenses over the past 30 years. How about we have a defense that can stop a 3rd and 10 or cause a turnover. Over the past 10 years since the zone read has gained popularity we have seen that we are incapable of stoping any team with an above average QB. I see no evidence to suggest this is the year we turn it around. Like most years we will have to score a lot of points to have a winning season. If Levi can be a top 4 QB in the SBC we should have a dynamic offense.
We will be underdogs regardless who the QB is. Look at the damn schedule and tell me where we will be favored besides Liberty and Texas Southern. We are a 22 point dog to Moo State. Georgia Southern and App both won ten games last year and we've won in Jonesboro twice in 27years.
So far it looks like the non answer is out playing the answers. As I have said before it is more likely we have zero difference makers at QB than several. In Levi we at least know he will not be gawd awful like a Brooks Haack. Let’s hope at least one of these QBs has the skill set to be an all SBC performer.
