I actually think it would be better if it was odd years against LaTurd home and away and even years against Tulane home and away.

That way there is more build up between each game and it is less likely for 1 program to dominate the other.

This doesn't mean we haven't beaten Tech out for some recruits (which is definitely progress), but the Techsters are still more than holding their own with us in recruiting.

The good news is that we're trending up, where they're trending flat, as in having reached their peak.

Now to schedule and beat them in an actual game.
Let’s not let a fact or two rain on our celebration parade.

Yeah, that actually makes better sense. I’m all in favor of this!

Another concern is that our top recruits are predominantly skill position players. I know finding big guys who can run is extremely difficult, but if we ever want to get to the level of top tier G5 teams we will have to recruit better in the trenches and LB.

They have a process in place, I don't concern myself with it. They have proven their system works when it comes to recruiting. None of us get to see their recruiting board and projection for each position next season. They also factor in transfers like Humphrey and Hawkins. Both are on their own dime right now and they will have to find scholarships for both next season if they remain in the program. Those are things we are not privy to, so from the outside looking in it's not always clear what their plans are when you look at recruiting classes. Trust the process.

I’d argue 3 of our best recruits or OL/DL

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I like to keep things real. We all believed that we'd surpassed those guys during Hudspeth's quick rise only to have them make asses of us. I am hoping we learned our lesson from then. I know I have.
