    Well Maneri is gonna have to wear this one for a while bc this one is in him. No way that guy should of gone out in the 12th to pitch.

    Mendoza is a good hitter, but he also struck out 69 times this year. Mainieri was counting on a K (which Fontenot was doing on a regular basis.) Next guy was more of a contact hitter and better chance of a ground ball getting through.

    It just didn't work.

    Happy for FSU's Martin. Like Graham at Rice, guys that stayed in one place and contributed to the growth of college baseball are starting to fade away. Hope he grasps the ring.

    Auburn puts up 13 in the 1st against UNC. All 9 batters went to the plate twice. 5 walks (4 to the 1st 4 batters), 7 singles, and 1 three run homer. 9 runs with 2 outs, 5 were unearned.

    The early 2 touchdown lead holds up as Auburn goes to Omaha by winning 14-7.

    Auburn's win means that 4 of the 8 CWS teams will be from the SEC.
