Thread: Contenders emerge for Cajuns' #2 QB Slot

I'm not anti-Levi, I'm anti low QB performance. Being equivalent to Nunez, is not a positive. Levi wasn't able to beat him and start. I want to see our QB perform at a high level. That's what it will take for our team to be successful. That's why we have Napier as our Coach. If Levi can drastically improve and be that guy then I would be ecstatic. That position must improve.

Anybody who doesn’t want Levi to be very successful isn’t a true Cajuns fan. I want all our players to outperform. So if a kid grows, that’s more important than someone on a message board being right about them not being good.

I want whoever is our starting quarterback in 2019 to be the best quarterback we put on the field and have huge success, I don't care if it's Levi or Jake Arceneaux or any of the guys in between

No one on here wants anyone on this team to fail... people are just worried after seeing jump balls & 1 read and run for the past 2 years

Did anybody go to the open practice and see how Levi is looking? Napier seems pretty pleased with him at this point.

The 2 seconds is "think" time.

Reps turn think time into "do" time.

Yeah but does it really matter what Napier thinks? Plenty more qualified people here to make those decisions from watching practice

Of course he is going to say that no coach is going to trash his own player's (respectable ones at least)

Plus Lewis's competition right now is 2 rookies one of which is still rehabbing and a QB who could not start at Louisiana College.

Whether you agree or not, barring injury, Levi will be starting vs Mississippi State in the dome. How long he is the starting QB depends on his performance, but it is his job.
