I got a really good feeling that he is gone. It was quite obvious this season that he was looking to impress the scouts more when he pitched than win games.

I have heard the MLB line before, FROM EVERYBODY. I don't buy it at face value, it is a negative negotiating tool used on juniors. There is no doubt the propaganda takes the leverage away from juniors.
If a team (in need) thinks they can win with you, they will draft you accordingly. No team will let a perceived winner slip to the next team because they think they hold the negotiating cards. That applies to seniors as well.
The negative concept may have merits in the low rounds but not at the top.
A drafted player holds the cards. For example, there is a reason a HS stud that clearly states he is going to college will go undrafted. No MLB team wants to waste a high pick. Becoming a used draft pick is a great negotiating tool.

Unsigned draft picks get scouts fired. That's why they grill players like steaks to find out if they will sign and for how little, before the draft. There is only one Major League Baseball.
Rebel02 you're right he probably doesn't care about winning baseball games.

It has happened before in collegiate athletics, it's an opinion, are we being critical of all opinions now?
does anyone know if any ofthe kids we have signed have been taken yet?

No I wasn't being critical to any opinions. I just stated he made a good point that Farquhar probably thought if he went out there and lost as many games as possible he'd go higher in the draft. Makes a lot of sense to me.
Must be tough to get on here and post opinions and have someone else criticize it! All some of the people post on here are criticizing the players who can't defend themselves.
I think you're secretly in love with Danny... but that's just my opinion. Do not criticize... it's just my opinion... it's happened before in collegiate athletics... "manlove" that is. I'm not criticizing you if that's the way you roll... please, no criticism... it's just my opinion.
