All of this looks too familiar.

My biggest issue yesterday was the caught stealing in the 8th inning.

Down 2, get the leadoff man on, and hit and run?? Play makes zero sense there and that's not to mention the fact that Breaux missed it, the runner is out and then Breaux looks at strike 3.

Calling for a hit and run there, or even if it was a straight steal and looked like a botched hit and run, that's just not good baseball.

It’s like when we had this one guy responsible for the hitting on staff in 2017 and 2018 and he was calling for those types of plays in a game. I sure am glad he’s no longer on staff and we no longer make those same calls. Oh wait, nevermind.

Wow. Amazing that you can make that determination after watching the 1st two games of the season. Absolutely amazing !!

....Well they had a pretty good idea when we subbed our speed guy that we might try a steal to stay away from the DP....possibly could have waited another pitch.....we wanted our guy at 2nd with zip outs and not bases empty with 2 outs....didn’t see it but was he out by a lot, did he get a good jump, was it a breaking ball?

Yep that’s RP. One extra and a one run game against the #16 team in the nation. Not happy either but I’ll give it a while

No ____, especially the way our guys started playing down 5-0. Everyone counting them out. Yes, the last at bat strikeouts are a concern, but I’m good with the aggressive baserunning. We know we don’t have sluggers like in ‘14, so we’ll need to try and move people and manufacture runs against good teams.

That’s how Glasco got it done last season after his power-hitting transferred.

Agree 100%. I understand why, but I don’t like the decision. Even if it works, all you really gain is avoiding the DP.

I certainly hope I’m wrong and will be the first to admit it if I am. I see the team as a 35 to 40 game winner, but not a regional team unless they clean up the silly mistakes. I know it’s early, but I just hoped to see a little more/different than what I saw last year at this time. I’ll be at all the home games and a few away as well.

My biggest worry is we have only hit in 2 innings of the 19. Not good at all
