If Marcus misses only a couple of them we may have been in trouble. Gant would have had to come back in earlier than desired and he could have fouled out. As far as the three point shot goes, Davis was big in the first half with three of them to give the Cajuns a lead while Hardy hit some crucial ones in the second half.

It may not be pretty at times and considering the slump they went through with the Carolinas and Georgia southern, you have to give the players credit for sticking together. Still have a long way to go but I wouldn’t be surprised to see us do some damage down the stretch.

Interested to see how they do on Texas trip. They should have regained confidence in these last two games but I thought the same thing after the Alabama home games and that level of play did not carry over to the road. They have to be more focused on Thursday to prevent nightmares of last trip.

The players haven't quit once this season. I will always give credit where its due in that regard. Biggest thing we've done better recently is guard people on the perimeter.

In looking at other threads I realized there wasn't even a game thread? Come on people.

I’ll admit. The turnaround this team has made in the past two games is impressive. The players are not quitting, and that’s awesome to see. Let’s see if we can continue this into the Texas trip.

I don't know what to call it. I don't know if its impressive to just be playing like you should but I think its a testament to how badly they were playing for a couple of weeks there. Been inconsistent all year. Hope we get a strong finish.

I’m thinking that the game actually wasn’t as close as the final score. Clearly we were in a defined slow down towards the end. Let them get to the basket to avoid old fashioned 3’s. That type of closing the gap in college basketball happens almost every game. We protected the open 3’s and they drove to the basket.

Overall it was our game to lose, and we refused to take the bait.

Had we gotten the lead to 15 we may have coasted. Warhawks responded every time we threatened to which did not surprise me. Also, Justin Miller deserves lots of credit for the way he is passing the ball out of the post. Offense is more effective since they made that a focal point.
I had been down on Miller with his decision making last year and the first third of games this year. The guy has really improved his game. To be fair, he's always been a guy that has put his head down and played hard. There isn't as much glory in making a nice pass to set up a good shot vs jacking up a 3, but his passing the ball is a big part of making this team go.

Also second game in a row he gets double figure rebounds. Impressive for a guy who can’t jump higher than my old legs. That happens on the road trip and we may steal one
