They are more athletic than we are overall with the squad we are putting on the floor now. Therefore it is not a surprise the stats you mentioned were somewhat in their favor. Kudos to PJ Hardy for shooting us back into the game. Seems he has been improving in many ways recently. That is one guy taking advantage of the increased time due to the Marquetti injury. Experience he is getting now may pay off next season.

I've only been upset with Cajuns athletics once in the past several years...Hud's multiple lack of instutional control issues. From the ACT fiasco to letting the team "drive the bus" to that utterly embarrassing last Hud game. That game fell on the players too; they quit that day.

You probably are just being facetious with that comment. Just in case you are not, you may be interested in knowing the coach was given an extension prior to the season beginning. While fans may not be giving the program a pass due to the injury situation this year, I have been given hints that the administration is doing so. Therefore, no coaching change will be considered anytime soon.

There is no injury "situation" this year. We have one player down for the remaining part of the year. He is a key player and likely considered our second best player but we weren't exactly lighting up the scoreboard with him in there either. Many teams go through spells with injuries of the short and long term nature. That doesn't put us in any different "situation" from most other schools out there.

I don’t know if things are that bad. A good recruiting year including a stud player may open the coffin slightly.

We have 1 potential stud player. Have you seen the needs of this year's team before we lose 3 really good seniors? We will need a HELL of a lot more than the PG to come in move us forward.

Great to hear about the st Louis kid. The thing is we need at least 3 athletic front court players to win against real teams. Where are the other 2 players going to come from? Unless we can pull 2 rabbits out of the hat this recruiting period it looks bleak for next year.

Lets not forget that Miller and Davis are both going to be seniors next year also. That's not only replacing Gant after this year but we have bigger holes to fill the year after. Its scary right now looking forward.

Kobe Julien (being redshirted due to injury) and Malik Wilson (early signee) are athletic players. I don't know as much about the other two early signees. I know one is a 6'7" forward from Florida and the other is a 6'4" guard from the Houston area. They need to bring in an athletic inside player in spring recruiting and they are focusing on the JUCO ranks in that search.

We're losing 3 seniors. We have 3 early signees. Have a roster of 15 with 2 walk-ons, 13 on scholarship at least I think so. Unless someone is paying his own way how can we sign any more players? Or who is losing their scholarship(s)? Serious question since I know I don't know all the rules concerning awarding of scholarships. Awarding/counting of scholarships for football is really confusing.
