Not so sure he was being facetious. You have to have so many women's sports which take up a certain number of scholarships. You could sub something else for WBB as long as you meet requirements. However that would likely not sit well with other league members. The split schedule is costing us due to need to open Dome for 200 people. If that stays in place, wonder if going back to EKL is a possibility. We would need to put some dollars into the place to improve it but that may be cheaper in long run due to need to open up Dome. Dome would like it as they can't have any events on Saturday other than basketball for first two months of year.

But put the pitchfork down for just 5 minutes and think about what you’re saying....add a women’s bowling team and they play against who exactly?!! How many of you actually go to women's basketball games?

In the Hall era, I was a regular. Watched about 2 games with Rogers. Until I dropped my basketball season tickets this year, I attended nearly every home game in the Dome with Brodhead, and some in EKL.

You're going to have a women's basketball program. Dollars are going to be spent.

There are some who would say it's a drag on the athletic department even if the team was winning. This fan base is great at diminishing any accomplishment in the past once they smell blood in the water.

While a WBI championship isn't an NCAA berth, it was light years ahead of anything post JKH. At the time, many on this board were excited. Now many are acting like it was a piece of ____.

The reality is, we're going to spend the money. And, even if we win, there won't be much support. So the drag on the athletic department remains the same.

I’m all about going back to EKL at this point. 200 people in there is a lot louder than 200 people in the Cajundome.

The coach has said he can’t recruit to EKL. Perhaps with a reasonable face lift he could.

So does Tulane. One of my daughters HS bowling teammates participated on the Green Wave women’s bowling team. They are a successful program.
