If that stays in place, wonder if going back to EKL is a possibility. We would need to put some dollars into the place to improve it but that may be cheaper in long run due to need to open up Dome. Dome would like it as they can't have any events on Saturday other than basketball for first two months of year.
    He was.

Women's bowling /golf bring no advertising benifits to the school.

___k the sunbelt members they will not kick us out the league for dropping WBB and adding additional women's sports to offset the loss of scholly... we are in the business of maximizing our current revenue.

You really think members of conferences can just do what they want??....in all seriousness, you have some good posts here. But put the pitchfork down for just 5 minutes and think about what you’re saying....add a women’s bowling team and they play against who exactly?!! Besides, you think Billy Bob and his buddies are giving up their Tuesday night league lane without a fight??

How many of you actually go to women's basketball games?
In the Hall era, I was a regular. Watched about 2 games with Rogers. Until I dropped my basketball season tickets this year, I attended nearly every home game in the Dome with Brodhead, and some in EKL.

You're going to have a women's basketball program. Dollars are going to be spent.

There are some who would say it's a drag on the athletic department even if the team was winning. This fan base is great at diminishing any accomplishment in the past once they smell blood in the water.

While a WBI championship isn't an NCAA berth, it was light years ahead of anything post JKH. At the time, many on this board were excited. Now many are acting like it was a piece of ____.

The reality is, we're going to spend the money. And, even if we win, there won't be much support. So the drag on the athletic department remains the same.

There's a lot of fake caring going on here.
Horse manure. If people don't care, they don't come here, unless they are just trolls. No one in this thread is a troll.

The opinions expressed here may be wrong, but it is a fan board; we all have and are entitled to our opinions, even you.

The coach has said he can’t recruit to EKL. Perhaps with a reasonable face lift he could.

So does Tulane. One of my daughters HS bowling teammates participated on the Green Wave women’s bowling team. They are a successful program.

    Agreed

I understand some people don't like negativity or the harshness might go overboard, but the fact is that we are all Cajun fans who want what's best for our programs. We each just have different ways of looking at it.

I’m not sure we’re talking about the same thing. My comment was about it not mattering if somebody goes or not, they still should complain about an ineffective coach. I’m not going to WBB on any kind of regular basis, but some number of people will go if they expect to be entertained. Losing often isn’t entertainment.

We’re not getting rid of WBB so we’ll go one of two ways. Spend as much as we can to be much better, or as little as possible to fulfill a Title IX requirement.

Currently UL seems satisfied threading water, but we’re actually losing ground. I’m not sure Broadhead will ever be the answer, but it doesn’t look good.
