I would be curious to know where season tickets stand this year for basketball in relation to years past. Have they gone down? Being that many have said their piece to Maggard, if support continues to dip (if it truly has) then its moronic to continue extending Marlin.

Season tickets numbers went up last 2 years. Not sure by how much or what base was. I think walk up tickets have declined. Student attendance was also up before school ended.

Wife and I did notice students were actually showing up better this year. That’s a positive.

Would be curious if new season ticket holders increase offset walkup decrease.

Jacob, you are free to make your own choices and quite frankly, glad that you are still willing to pay season tickets for basketball but honestly, the only scolding we saw on here originally was you scolding those of us who questioned Marlin's contract. We weren't even necessarily saying he should be fired. You then tried to make arguments as to why we are bad fans and should support the coach you claim to not be a fan of.

Some did make fun of Jacob for going to the non D1 games. Make fun of me and many of my friends because we did as well. However people I am speaking of (including Jacob) all have season tickets. When you have already paid for the tickets you may as well attend no matter the opponent. Like I said earlier, no one can tell people how to spend their time or money. Therefore, folks who don't attend won't be called "bad" fans by me and by the same token those that choose to go should be respected by those who make a different decision.

Mike, as you know, I support your decision to continue to buy season tickets and to attend games. But I am no less a fan because I choose not to do so. I know you support me in that as well, but there are others who have called out those of us who expect more from the program than we are getting and choose to publicly and privately address the issues we see as keeping us and other like-minded fans away.

I already explained why I thought they got blown out at home. That explanation was called an “excuse” so I guess after the game Ross Cook was basically giving the same “excuses” I did.

Also I never spoke of marlins contract or extension. Maggard the all knowing will handle the situation. You don’t have to support marlin or basketball ever. I disagree though that y’alls agenda to let the bottom fall out so a move will be made is what’s best for the program in the long run. I hope he wins 20 games as long as he’s here and when Maggard decides marlins not progressing past that he will make a change and get us a coach that will inherit a good program that has some fan support and hopefully a little money to throw around.
