The only point I was suggesting was that as 3 of the sunbelt tie in bowls are on that Saturday, there is a good chance of having a conflict every year and that they may want to consider doing the game on a Friday night in the future, particularly as that is when high school games are played anyhow.

In any respects, may the game be fun and the gate be big.

You aren't changing the date. That is the main thing. You seem to have the answer so we shouldn't bother with trying to supply a logical reason.

Yeah...let’s compare a multi-billion dollar operation with a a complete staff around the country and unlimited resources...to a local non profit run by a bunch of volunteers...makes complete sense

That is why they are getting all this free consulting towards their next year event. May they all be successful as the fruits always benefit great causes.

This game is in its third year. The first two times it was played in Lake Charles. This is the first time Lafayette gets to host this. We were asked to run this because of our expertise with Jamboree. But many of the decisions (like scheduling and rosters) were not made by us.

Our boys will wear Cajun colors while the Lake Charles all stars will wear McNeese colors. As they have done the two years prior.

Yes, it’s unfortunate timing (now) but none of this was our call. We just hope that we have a good crowd to help fund our projects.

If anyone has any more questions about this please message me.

PS - we are going to host this again next year, so we know there is already something to fix.
With all do respect I hope your crowd is parents of players only. I hope everyone else in acadiana is watching the Cajuns and running up the TV ratings. However I really wish i could pull for both to have success but cannot because they are competing for the same viewer ship.

I know right the little high school game would be much easier to move than the multi million dollar operation with thousands of people involved.

Looking at that roster if I had a kid like Perry, Harrington, spencer, or Cobb about to sign a college next week I’d advise him not to play. Is this game worth risking blowing out a knee or something else that could jeopardize your scholarship opportunity?

On the other hand for the kid that will never play football again or is stil trying to be noticed this is a great opportunity.

The date was set by LHSAA. Take a step back and notice that a ton of these games are being played all over the state Saturday. A bunch of volunteers isn't going to change that.

Now, the thing we can do is to look into getting the game shown on STM's Video Board. Which we are doing.

Yeah...and they’re probably the same a-hole who would show up at the original time and want someone’s nut sack in a vice grip bc he showed up at the wrong time...guarantee it, that’s how it works when dealing with the general public
