As with every other sport, when the pro organizations stop giving them millions of dollars. It's a shame that Perrilloux will play a year of d-2 and probably will get picked up in the nfl draft for a fat check.

You're not in Kansas, I mean Tennessee anymore... cover Tyler and let us know if he thinks he's a Vanderbilt prospect...

"Once upon a time" this guy that won the lottery told me that he didn't want to go the route of conventional employment, and so he just lived with this parents, borrowed a dollar from his rural dad, and bought lottery tickets until it paid off for him. It's what he said... but I think he was an "exception to the general rule". I chose not to "report" his story. I still kind of like the guy who chooses conventional employment. He tends to make a good neighbor and a solid citizen. The world could use more of those guys and reporters who report on them.

No need to get nasty, brother. Your venom is wasted on me.

I used an example for people who might not understand why a kid would go JUCO instead of DI. Even if you don't care, some people might learn something from it.

If you've got a problem with me, feel free to come over and chat this week at the Tigue. I'm easy to find.

You call "that" nasty? I don't think much of your choice of words "no big-time DI offers" and "instead of the Sun Belt, Ohio Valley, etc." but I don't think what I wrote constituted "nasty".

Calm down, keep working hard, and enjoy the game... and add a Geaux Cajuns next time.

Those were the kid's words, not mine. Should have mentioned that from the start.

Now I think you guys are jumping the gun a bit.

    Calm down.

Sorry, I for one missed the quotation marks around his remark.

I'm as calm as can be. Cool you might even say.

Destin, that's why I mentioned that I should have pointed that out at the start.

The Sun Belt is good baseball. There's no debating that, regardless of what some 18-year-old from Tennessee says.

If you don't mind me butting in on Destin... that isn't how your post read. No big deal, but you have the skills to make it sound like you want... I've read your stuff.

You'll eventually give us a "Geaux Cajuns"... but in the meantime, be good. "The pen is mightier than the sword".

    Geaux Cajuns!!!
