On which they had an attainable FG but instead played for TD.

    That's 11 points in a 10 point game.

I'm just pointing out that a rematch is nothing to fear.
This was a very winnable game if the Cajuns play like they are capable. I would love to see a rematch on December 1. Just can't poop the bed in the next 2 games, and that ULM game is gonna be a lot of fun

The loss sucked, but there is still hope. We play 2 teams in the next 2 weeks that are not very good. We get them at home, too. ULM still has to go to Jonesboro. If we can take care of business against G State and South Al sad stAte does is a solid and knocks iff Monroe, then that sets up a winner take all I think.

We lost another road game by 10 points to a top SBC school. We gout outplayed most of the day. It happens. Still, if we had the 3 guys today that were out, we might have won.

We are going to win the next two and play ulm for the division title and a conference championship game invite. Trust me people, that is a freakin' miracle given the situation Nape inherited.

All of our goals are still in front of us. We can do this. Time to regroup, and come out swinging next weekend.

    One more thing, ROLL TIDE!

If this team can fix their issues and create more consistency, we can be a dangerous team. We are THAT close.
Dropped TD and missed FG were on same drive. We could have had three or
7 more, not 10. However fumble inside our 20 gave them 7 points.

That's 8 more left on the field with the wasted extra point on the premature 2-point conversion.

I guess we can spin it anyway we want, but this team and staff were not ready to play and didn't compete in the first half. And that is where the game was lost, especially the TE dropping a certain TD pass was a huge momentum swing. In the second half the defense played well enough to keep us in the game, but Nunez could not raise his play to the competition.

Bottom line, we have to play well in all phases of the game to win our next three games period. We are not good enough to take anyone for granted and we don't have a QB that can carry this team on his back.

I will be at Cajun Field next weekend.

You can’t can’t underthrow wide open receivers when the defense is pressing all game long. When throws like that occur, the defense loses all respect for the passing game. I love the guys attitude, and he has helped this team win games this year, but today and at App St, we were minus in the QB position. Levi actually posed the bigger matchup problem against Troy and I’m still trying to figure out why he was not given more snaps.
I'm fine with the loss. We lost to a good team and competed, especially in the second half like you suggest. I'm disappointed in two things. 1) Nunez's composure in the pocket. He was sacked multiple times late in the game because he got happy feet and he just doesn't want to run the ball. Our offense relies on that at times. 2) From the 4:30 minute mark down, we just let the clock run without any type of hurry offense even though we needed two scores. That was just unacceptable. No urgency.

Why not have the chili cook off in conjunction with a home game so students can attend both?

Troys defense had a lot to do with that. We’ve not had much offensive success against any team that we can run the ball on. If we are forced to win the game through the air, we haven’t been able to do much. That said, we don’t face another D that good the rest of the way.
