Unlike Orlando, there's a chance Phoenix is actually going somewhere. That said, the PG position is crowded there when all are healthy.

He needs to cut it.

I'm curious to know your take on Phoenix over Orlando. Orlando has a young nucleus as well. Phoenix has actually been the dumpster fire this year when firing their coach and having to give Bledsoe away because he couldn't deal with Watson anymore. I think Orlando will finish better than Phoenix and they have the better overall roster with guys like Vucevic, Fournier and A Gordon.

I don't follow either team religiously, but from what I watched Saturday night, Elfrid has dudes that can actually utilize his distribution and leadership effectively.

Not used to playing together, they were hesitant receiving his passes and going up to the rim. Otherwise, he would've had almost 20 assists.

When they're used to playing together, I think Elfrid gets a double double every night. And the team's defense was clearly better when Elfrid was in vs. out, not counting Chandler shooting out of his mind late in the 4th for Denver.

Elfrid makes Phoenix better, and they have enough pieces to make a run and win some games. Schedule's much tougher (tonight vs GSt) than Orlando's, but Orlando's a dumpster fire and the coaching there never used Elfrid correctly. He's not supposed to be a scorer.

to be fair he wasnt released. he was set to be a free agent, they just renounced his rights to clear his cap hold

Phoenix Suns Renounce Rights To Elfrid Payton and Alex Len which keeps them 10-15M under budget. Both are free agents. Wonder what both these players contract was with Phoenix.
