2019 Cajuns Baseball Lineup???

I agree with you that I don't see Coach Robe bringing back the roster as is. But I think there is a high chance of improvement specifically with Lahare, Cantrelle, and Windham. I was just saying those six I listed, outside of Monica, were some of the better offensive players this season.

Lahare seems a solid table setter. Not sure where any improvement comes from. There is no projection as far as size, strength. I agree Cantrelle should get bigger stronger and better. However, his stats dipped this season from college woodbat summer ball last year. I dunno if that is coach made, or what.

Windham is very athletic and should get bigger, stronger too. I saw flashes of offensive competence, but each corner IF needs to supply power AND average, which was sorely lacking. Who knows if he gets better. We can hope, but that's all it is. There is no regional team with poor offensive production like our corner infielders, and never will be.

I think Ramos was a Senior. I believe Hogan is gone. You have to think that Leger having sat through all of what happened this year, if he gets the right money, he is gone. I also think if LaHare is drafted he is gone.

Interesting question. Although I'm fairly confident Gunner will be back. He originally had big plans for 2019. I certainly understand the concern though.

I understood and agreed with his move a year ago. Whatever he does I am sure it will be the right thing. He seems like someone with perspective beyond his years.

All JUCO guys with good stats I consider promising, not proven. You could argue Trosclair overperformed with the Cajuns based on his LSU-E stats. And thank God for it!

I have no source for anything on Gunner's plans other than before this past season part of his decision to sit out was that he felt his best chance at breaking some Cajuns and conference records and making it to Omaha was to sit out and redshirt 2018 and play in 2019. Apparently, he felt at the time we would be loaded in 2019. I have no updates beyond that. He could have changed his mind, but my feeling is that he stays put and lives up to his social media post advising he would play his senior year for the best fans in college baseball.
