Technique wise. Nice to see the 3-4 defense played the way it's supposed to be played. ..
I thought the defense played very good disciplined assignment football. There were very few breakdowns. Corners struggled in press on our wide receivers. To be far to the corners, our wide receivers are really good. Hard to win a 50/50 ball against Keenan Barnes.
I thought our 4th through 6th string RBs looked pretty good too. When our injured RBs return, they will be a strong unit.
Tight ends (Lumpikin and Rogers) made some nice TD catches.
If we can get good consistent QB play and the OL does their job, I think this will be a great offense.
The Saban and Dabo styles attention to detail is obvious ... As well as doing what a coach should do. Coach and teach
I saw the replay on espn3 and was somewhat impressed. It looked well organized, the players looked focused and I saw lots of effort. Nice to see the QB's showing some poise and several nice throws. It looks to me like we are going in the right direction with the program. My biggest concern still is the talent level across the board, and that will take time. If this staff can recruit as well as it can coach, then we will be in awesome shape.
