I love how we are so economical with our runs. No reason to score too much more than the opposition. Kudos to Talbot for recognizing the situation.
Talbot is only scoring enough to win. Very brainy guy. Plus, no reason to show up your opponents.

I wouldn’t say all that matters, but yes, things are lining up for a chance at winning the tourney. My frustration is more that if we had any offense, coastal and USA would be chasing us. Not sure we get the nod as an at large being behind coastal USA and Troy in the conference standings when we may end up with a top 50 rpi. We had the schedule. We won some of the big games and ____ the bed in others. This team had a chance to make noise but coach “I have to put a play on in every at bat” kept that from happening.

Edit: I’m cheering like hell for a run. Just being realistic about how toxic JT is to this team.

In the last 6 games, McKinnon is 5-15 (.333) with 2 doubles, a HR and 5 RBIs, and 6 runs scored. And has only struck out twice in that span.

He has been getting it done with the bat lately in conference play. Especially for a guy that is supposed to be almost solely focused on defense.
Not disagreeing. It just shows how pathetic we are on offense that a 8 hole hitter batting a buck seventy gets kudos for his offensive play.
I am so impressed this team is eeking out wins with frankly the worst college offense I have ever seen.
Truth be known I usually skip our at bats and only watch us in the field. It makes for a more enjoyable game. My expectation for this team is for us to get to the conference tournament and have a .120 batting Stover deliver a game winning hit.

Wrong again. It’s weird you know who LSU is playing and what happened. I had no idea since it is all Pels here in Nola. I have a strong suspicion you follow LSU closer than I do.

Nice try, but I'm looking at Cajun RPI and opponents. Hard for 0-11 and 3-11 not stand out in the results.

Is hoping for a sweep with three straight shutouts too much to ask?

You can bet your a s s Jack is going out there to throw a shutout. Those pitchers compete amongst themselves like that.

It would be a pretty impressive accomplishment.

Don’t care about RPI. Those are some bad loses though. Let me know how they do today. I will follow the UL game.
