This may be my favorite post in this thread. Only this sorry hitting team could have a .170 hitter characterized as a guy continuing to get it done.

Damn, Warren Nolan has us losing 9 straight starting with the Georgia State series.

The way Warren Nolan predicts that is they pick the winner of the series and basically give them all three games. So, they have Georgia State as the favorite to win the series; but they just give them all three wins.

Well with only one week day game left, from here on out we will have our full pitching staff ready for weekends.. We just need Talbot to go on vacation for 3 weeks

And LR in the west, that is all that matters. We are not going to catch USA/CCU, so we have to win the west and being that we have the tiebreaker over the best two teams in the west, that helps.

We have three midweek games left I believe. Ruston, UNO, and Tulane

This will be a challenge (having moved the midweek ace to the weekend) don't want to get in no RUT.

I hate to break it to you but MAT is right on this one. Without Kole’s offensive contributions last weekend and this weekend, we don’t win the series. He had the game winning RBI this past Friday, had a big sac fly RBI last night. He was our biggest producer Friday and Saturday against App State.

He has been getting it done with the bat lately in conference play. Especially for a guy that is supposed to be almost solely focused on defense.

I know you've probably been watching ya tiggahs get slaughtered in Charleston, because you've obviously not been paying attention to Cajun baseball for the past 3 weeks. Wouldn't surprise me that you'd jump ship at midseason though.

I love how we are so economical with our runs. No reason to score too much more than the opposition. Kudos to Talbot for recognizing the situation.
Talbot is only scoring enough to win. Very brainy guy. Plus, no reason to show up your opponents.

I wouldn’t say all that matters, but yes, things are lining up for a chance at winning the tourney. My frustration is more that if we had any offense, coastal and USA would be chasing us. Not sure we get the nod as an at large being behind coastal USA and Troy in the conference standings when we may end up with a top 50 rpi. We had the schedule. We won some of the big games and ____ the bed in others. This team had a chance to make noise but coach “I have to put a play on in every at bat” kept that from happening.

Edit: I’m cheering like hell for a run. Just being realistic about how toxic JT is to this team.
