Simply supporting Barisaxman's response to Big Buds post - nothing more.

    J1M,
we will have to agree to disagree (with respect) about which personnel loss was more monumental to the respective national power programs. I assume you feel the original post meant (biggest combo loss in "Cajun Baseball" history. I admit I am more of a softball fan than baseball fan, but I am a huge Ragin Cajun fan.

Not sure why any comparison should be made at all.

Softball lost the heart of the team. Baseball lost Monica, an above average player at best last year.

    End of analysis.

The reason you are correct has to do with system continuity and philosophy launch.

It is much easier to insert a replacement player with system continuity.

We are getting really DEEP in analysis for this board.

I would rather have him come back strong next year with Gunner and the rest of the returning cast, maybe either Hogan or Lee will return, and hopefully a new hitting coach and we make a big run. Also, I really hope this is the last season we have to watch McKinnon behind the plate.
I kind of doubt we’re getting a new pitching coach. Without mentioning RP he said he’s not giving up on the team or coaches that have received criticism by fans.

Also today he said he’s a baseball fan. He’s going to watch spring training for 60 days the first year after he retires or gets fired. He’s absolutely feeling the pressure.

Go to Scottsdale, rather than Grapefruit League.

I stopped listening today after the 11th Gunner is gone lament.
