I think the 15 defense was pretty good. It’s a shame it was wasted on such a bad offense.

You mean the 16 defense with Peters and Lightfoot? I looked it up and we only gave up 3.4 yards a carry. That is good. By comparison we gave up 5.3 yards this year with the same defensive staff.
So yes I would include the 2016 D as one of the few good defenses we have had over the past 30 years.

Our own Peanut Tilman perfected a turnover technique which together with a suffocating defense creating the net positive Hud wanted. I'm hoping Hud simply meant we needed to value possessions.

Of course in and if itself doesn’t mean anything. Kind of like extrapolating a score from total yards.

Cajuns kicker missing two extra points in that game was a huge factor. Can't blame those on the coach.

I don't know that I have ever seen a kicker so inconsistent on extra points. I don't know if he is a senior, but we need to recruit a kicker or hopefully have someone who was redshirted.

Our kicker is not a senior. It is a mental thing with him, not physical. He needs confidence restored.
