This is starting to stink.
I'm struggling to believe that angle.
He did play.
Did he take himself out.
Players want to test the extent of their recovery all the time.
No two individuals can be handled the same way.
Players quit for not being allowed on the field.
Players quit for being urged onto the field.
I'm struggling to grasp this story.
Huds been on record saying we need this guy. He started game 1. He was injured and allegedly told at halftime that he either plays through injury or he won't see the field again. He plays a little bit (a few drives?) in the second half.
And then he transfers because of playing time?...
After game #2 of a 12 game season....
Not trying to stir the pot or take sides, but one thing I don't understand. If he was hurt, why was he dressed out for game? Did he dress at halftime because of ultimatum?
GEAUX CAJUNS!!!
I don't believe that anyone on this board really knows 100% the reason(s) behind why Holmes left the program. Not sure which theory I would believe more either.
I do believe that if you take a poll, much more than 50% would play injured in a heartbeat without being pushed onto the field from a coach. That is what athletes do. They want to play and they want to compete.
Regardless, the kid left. We need LBs. Hell, we need a defense. My support for Hud has gone more because of his actions, or lack there of, around locker room and off the field incidents.
ok, MAT, you are telling us that you know for sure that this player was diagnosed as injured and advised not to play by a medical Doctor or trainer? Or did he refuse to play after being cleared by Doctors and or trainers.
Which was it?
Are you also saying that you know for sure that he was then told by a coach or coaches to play or else he's off the team?
